Important information to our customers
Further to our previous communication, we would like to inform you of a new surcharge being introduced by Dublin Port Company (DPC) on the movement of trailers through Dublin Port (import and export) on routes connecting with the UK and Europe.
Despite opposition from NOLAN and other stakeholders, Dublin Port has confirmed the implementation of an Infrastructure Charge (“levy”) on all laden units entering or departing the port, in addition to other separate inflationary increases. This charge forms part of Dublin Port’s investment and cost-recovery initiatives for ongoing port development. Dublin Port will invoice ferry operators from 1 March 2026, and these costs will be passed on in full to customers using Ro-Ro services via Dublin Port.
What this means for NOLAN TRANSPORT customers
From 1 March 2026, all loads shipped via Dublin Port, Ireland (import or export) will incur an additional charge of €/£15 per load, which will be applied to your invoice as a Dublin Port Infrastructure Levy
More information Dublin Port Company’s published rates and charges can be viewed here:
Nolan Transport also offers alternative routing options and capacity on ROI routes
While we will continue to support customers shipping via Dublin Routes, it is important to note that alternative routing options are available also with Nolan Transport. As a market leader in Ireland – UK – European markets shipping on Ro-Ro ferry services,
NOLAN GROUP works closely with our shipping partners to provide strong, reliable capacity across multiple routes. Where operationally suitable, we can route traffic via the following alternatives:
If you have any questions about how this levy will be applied to your movements or invoices, or ask for us to route alternative routing please contact your usual NOLAN account manager, who will be happy to assist.
We appreciate your continued support and thank you for your understanding.
