Nolan Transport, a family-owned leader in European logistics, operates a state-of-the-art fleet of 700 trucks and 2,000 trailers, offering both temperature-controlled and ambient transport solutions. With a robust network spanning Ireland, the UK, Spain, France and Benelux, we specialise in European logistics and 3PL transport operations.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Freight Forwarder to join our Dutch team in our office located in Roermond. This role is pivotal in driving new business and growing sales and you will join a high-performing customer service team.
Join our Benelux team and play a key role in moving freight across Europe.
Your Role
- Start the day by reviewing any updates and assigning priorities of the day.
- Keep customers and teams informed on shipment statuses.
- Route plan, dispatch and optimise EU road freight.
- Contact and build relationships with prospective customers, carriers & clients.
- Handle CRM, bookings, rates, KPIs & service notes.
- Work closely with the wider sales, operations, customs & finance teams.
What You Bring
- Freight forwarding & road transport experience is essential for this role.
- Ideally have knowledge of Ireland & UK markets along with customs procedures.
- Proven track record in logistics & sales negotiation.
- Excellent ability to provide outstanding customer care.
- A professional level of English is essential to this role. Dutch is preferable.
- Confidence, decisiveness and flexibility are admirable traits.
- Team player who supports the team to achieve common goals.
