The position of Apprentice HGV Technician will learn how to:
- Diagnose and fault find problems on vehicles and trailers using latest diagnostic equipment.
- Carry out truck and trailer maintainence in accordance with DVSA and manufacturer’s specifications.
- Complete documentation as legally required in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintain best practice in relation to vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Work as part of a team to build employee and customer relations
- Maintain a clean and tidy workplace environment.
- Implement legislation and Health and Safety procedures.
Essential skills required for HGV Technician:
- An interest in HGV Maintenance and repair.
- Completion of year 1 or 2 of an apprenticeship is advantageous but not necessary.
- Have previous mechanical knowledge and experience.
- Capable of learning new skills and processing information.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under instruction and as part of a team.
