HGV Technician
At John Raymond Transport we are looking for fully qualified HGV technician to join our team in Bridgend. We are seeking enthusiastic skilled people who will add skills and experience to our workshop.
Rate of pay £18.50 per hour
The position of HGV Technician involves:
- Diagnosing and fault finding on vehicles and trailers using latest diagnostic equipment.
- Ensure all vehicles & trailers are maintained in accordance with DVSA and manufacturer’s specifications.
- Ensure all documents are filled out accurately and on time.
- Ensure best practice in relation to maintenance procedures.
- Work as part of a team to maintain and build employee and customer relations to ensure the workshop operations achieves its objectives and targets.
- Maintain a clean and tidy workplace environment.
- Ensure all relevant legislation and Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.
Essential skills required for HGV Technician:
- Qualified HGV Technician up to Level 3 (Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and repair)
- HGV Class 1 CE licence beneficial but not necessary.
- 3 years previous experience required.
- Diagnostic skills.
- Ability to carry out PMI to DVSA standards.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines and under own initiative.
