Brexit Preparations
As we are sure you are aware the probability of a no-deal Brexit rises with every passing day. The time to engage in as much preparation work as possible is now, there will be a last minute rush.
Trucks without completed customs clearance documents filed in advance of arriving at port will face delays. ONLY those vehicles with submitted and cleared S.A.D. documents in advance of arriving at port will travel freely.
The documentation is key.
The S.A.D. (Single Administrative Document) document requires;
- EORI number: For Identifying the company.
(Economic Operator's Registration and Identification). - TARIC codes: For Identifying the goods.
(TARif Intégré Communautaire; Integrated Tariff of the European Communities) - Actual Commercial Invoices: For pricing and duty calculations.
Proforma invoices will not be accepted.
All are necessary.
To ensure a smooth transition of your goods when Brexit takes place, we require you to supply us with your EORI number. This number will be required on Import, Export and transit Declarations to, from and through the UK.
For trade with any non-European (EU) country, which the UK will become after Brexit, you will need this unique number.
To register for this number - please follow these instructions:
- If you are Irish based click here
- If you are UK based click here
- If you are a French based click here
- For other EU Countries please check with local Government agencies.
We will also need the TARIC codes for the products you want shipped. If you could provide them to us ASAP it will help us and your company to get prepared by having relevant information.

Many thanks for your co-operation and understanding in dealing with this matter.
Kind Regards,
Brexit Team
