Administration Assistant – Cherbourg, France

We are one of Europe’s leading transport, logistics and warehousing companies.  Our business operates offices, depots, warehouses, customs clearance and maintenance facilities throughout Europe.  Our headquarters are based in Ireland with regional sales offices operating at Cherbourg France, UK, Belgium and Spain.

In Cherbourg, we service a wide range of customers including: Industrial Manufacturers, Food Companies, Pharmaceutical, Fresh Produce, Retailers and Freight Agencies in the markets of France-UK-Ireland.

We are looking for a Sales & Customer Service Representative for our Cherbourg office on a permanent contract.

Responsibilities

  • Handling of all orders requiring customs clearance and passing on the required   documentation to our customs agents.
  • Handling of customer service calls and emails
  • Work with transport planners to ensure that customer requirements are fully met
  • Liaise with customers, planners and drivers as required
  • Ensure Company procedures, quality standards and good distribution practices are followed at all times
  • Administration and reporting tasks
  • Follow up on and close out on any customer queries

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a busy team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong IT skills – competency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Fluent English and French is essential. Other European languages would be a distinct advantage (Polish/Lithuanian in particular)

Experience & Education

  • A degree in a Business discipline is advantageous
  • Can work flexible hours, if required
  • No work experience is necessary as full training will be provided on the job
